Offline editor really offline?

Hi

I dowloaded the web editor in Chromium (free libre version of Chrome on Linux).

The web app downloaded don’t run if I’m not online. I have to put my pc online to launch it. Once it’s done, I can put my pc offline and use the app normaly. I find this behavior very annoying.

Do you have the same behavior?

Here is a screenshot if I turn on my computer, plug my MC6PRO and then launch the installed web editor.
For really launching the web editor, I have to put my wifi on.
If I shut down the editor and shut down the wifi, I can launch the editor again without put my wifi on.
I wonder if the editor test is there is an updated version online before opening the editor…

Yes, it is for offline use. It seems like you may not have downloaded the application correctly but rather saves a URL shortcut. We have instructions for how to download the application for offline use here: Installing the Editor for Offline Use

I’d recommend installing the chrome web app as a desktop app for offline use: Installing the Editor for Offline Use | Morningstar Engineering Helpdesk

This should give you offline access.

Thank you for your answers.

I have already followed the instruction for offline use. I have also tried to reinstall the web app but the behavior it’s the same.

Also there is an uninstalled option in the web app menu so I think it’s really installed.

Perhaps it is a (annoying) limitation of Chromium…
