Morningstar Editor and iOS Keyboard

Is there a way to use the Editor on iOS (iPhone or iPad) via the USB C port? I can connect to the editor via USB C but I cannot use touchscreen keyboard on my device. I presume iOS thinks my MC6 Pro is a keyboard of some sort? Is there a workaround for this?

If you don’t use your device to send keystrokes, you can use the version of the firmware that says NO KEYBOARD or something like that. iOS should stop seeing it as a keyboard.

Yes, this is the reason. There isn’t a way to disable this on iOS. The only way would be to use the NO_KEYBOARD firmware version.

In the latest iOS update, it seems like you can now get keyboard displayed even with the MC/Keyboard connected. just tested this on my iPhone.

That’s with the base firmware (not the non-keyboard version)?

Sorry, my mistake. The keyboard still appears for iPad but not on iPhone when a hardware keyboard is connected.
