Hope someone with more experience can help out on this. Just wondering if there is a way to program (create a command) on a MC (3,6,8) to control a stop signal on a boss RC5. that mimics the way a beatbuddy can stop a RC5 while in play mode.
We know The beatbuddy can effectively stop a RC 5 loop playback while acting as a master only with a midi signal . No need to use CC commands on the RC to achieve this .
As the Morningstar can effectively control the beatbuddy, it would seem logical that the MC units could “mimic” ? and issue a similar command” that can directly stop the RC unit while it’s in play mode.
Here is the beatbuddy midi settings pdf references.
Thx for any input

Thx for the suggestions , unfortunantely it doesnt seem to work… maybe I’m doing something incorrectly. on the MC 3.
Ver 3.12, All midi channels outputs switched on .
Bank 1 A
msg 1 ) start /stop command on a toggle ( 1 & 2) to start/stop an ios drum machine on ch 10.
RC5 is synced via the tap tempo time on Bank 3 A
RC5 rec/play/Dub mode all ok using ext footswitches /or RC 5 pedal itself
2) Msg 2 -Real time midi stop as suggested on both positions ( no effect) does not stop the Boss RC5
RC 5 cc 80-87 function off
RX ch 1 0r 10
Omni : ON /off
Sync clock :auto
There is an assign target called ‘play/stop’. If realtime stop doesn’t work I’d try to trigger that via CC. That’s how I do it on my RC 500.
