More multiple USB-over-MIDI devices problems

Hi @james I’m back with a new midi over usb issue now that I’ve found a workaround for the previous one. There seems to be some interference when trying to send multiple USB midi devices CC messages. It may be Source Audios Neuro Hub’s problem though. If you think this belongs as a continuation of my previous post, please feel free to move this… I debated on this before deciding it seemed like a separate issue.

I have attached to the MC6 Pro host port via a USB Hub : Source audio neuro hub, Eventide Space, EHX Big Muff Hardware Plugin, and a NUX Solid Studio. Attached to the Neuro hub via their TRRS cables is a C4 and an Ultrawave.

Each now responds correctly when I send them a midi message. Separately that is… the problem arises when I attempt to send multiple of these devices a CC message (presumably pc also, but i haven’t tried). Usually the Neuro hub ends up not receiving or relaying one or more of its devices messages. For instance If I try to send all the midi-over-usb devices a cc command at once. The Neuro Hub’s devices don’t respond at all (this is why I thought the this usb cable was physically compromised in my previous post). If I try to send both SA devices and one of the other standalone USB midi devices messages, one of the SA pedals will respond and the standalone. Likewise If I send just both of the SA pedals a CC message only one responds (the first in order in the mc6 preset). The order the device messages are ordered in preset affects what will and won’t receive a message. Sometimes devices other than The SA ones won’t receive messages also… which makes me think maybe is not just a Source Audio problem. They all have their own midi channel assigned.

Does this seem like an issue with the Neuro Hub itself, do you think it’s because I have two midi channels being sent through this one midi-over-USB device, or something else? I’ll reach out to Source Audio too. In order to narrow it down, I may have to reorganize space and try to use the DIN ports on the Neuro hub after all.

Have you experimented with inserting a delay command?

I’ll try that. Thanks!

Are the Source Audio devices on unique MIDI channels, with those channels not being used by other things?

Oh sorry, you already said everything’s on its own midi channel. Can you post some examples of presets that aren’t working?

Adding the delay command fixes it. Thank you both!
