Will the ML5R have enough room to be placed underneath a Warwick Rockboard 4.1 or 4.3? I would use velcro and/or cable ties.
I am guessing it should as it is only a little deeper than my strymon zuma power brick which is 46mm vs the ML5R at 58mm. It would be good to get confirmation please.
I can confirm that they do ( ML10x and 5R are the same dimensions) fit but there are a couple of things you might consider when building and laying things out.
I have a 4.3 It will fit but at the high end of the board only. If you turn it the other way in the photo below it will just fit but accessing the ports at either end would be hard or impossible as you would need to put one short end hard up against the deep part of the board for the other end to clear
Excuse the messy cables as I am still finalizing the build and have not tied them all down yet.
To make it fit I also removed one of the braces underside, board does not flex so that’s fine. I am using the side port on the left side of the board for USB access.
Velcro and cable ties are working fine to hold it , definitely need cable ties once its all plugged in as it creates a bit of weight .
Last thing to think of is place it where it wont interfere with any Rockboard modules that you are using, as they do tend to protrude inside the board …so leave space for them. Where I have put it should still be able to fit a second module if I want.
Thank you so much for the detailed and very generous response and photograph. I’ve already ordered the unit, but your advice will really save me time through installation.
