ML10X v1.2 Beta Firmware

If anyone gives it a go, do let me know how it works for you.

One thing we are looking to add is an algorithm to detect feedback loops. Possibly as a controller setting that can be turned on, so while in Advanced mode, if you bypass a node and a feedback loop is detected, it will bypass the node as an output cut instead of a clean bypass.

But its not an option if i have the 6pro and Ml10 setup using ignore midi? without using the editor/PC.

I also have a bug where on startup the ML10 has all loops activated. switching presets or banks doesnt change it. I have to go into the editor and re-save the preset then iit will fix it. The preset is correct on the editor but it shows all loops active on the unit.

Are you referring to the ML10X message type on the MC6 PRO? That is not added yet but we’ll have that option available in the MC6 PRO beta firmware.

Let me check on this today and post an update.

Yes this was exactly what i was referring to. Thought i was going crazy for not finding that option lol.

I’ll try and keep you posted if anything changes on my end

Unfortunately advanced mode is not working as it should for me with this beta. It is detecting/sending signal to nodes that are incorrect. For example if i make a basic chain
ANYTIME my LOOP A(ventris) is disengaged it will make a feedback loop for no reason.
Even if loop A is completely disconnected this issue occurs. Something is causing the loops to be recognized incorrectly in adnvaced mode or something

Thanks for the feedback. It was in the previous beta? I’ll check out this issue.,

I am having issues with beta 1.2 and latest beta editor listed above.

Simple is fine but Advanced is sending signals randomly. I set the exact same serial preset in advanced(all pedals in serial but in advanced setting) I have a mute funtion on my last pedal and when engaged audio still passes through to output so it is sending a through to the output when it should not be. All sorts of odd routing issues occuring in advanced I dont see a way to add a picture but all pedals in sequential order only and still having issues

EDIT**
I have narrowed down the issue to LOOP A It is causing random throughs to somewhere/output or causing feedback. the loop engage toggle is working when it is not in chain. Everything works flawlessly in simple but in advanced LOOP A is sending audio incorrectly somewhere*******

Can you share with me a screenshot of the editor routing?

It might be related to the Trails in advanced mode we added in the last update. So I just want to confirm these are set to “Nothing” before saving:

These are the presets used most often and again LOOP A(ventris is either passing audio to outputs when it should not or causing feedback loops.

hello James any possible info on why loop A is passing audio incorrectly?

Bypassing Ventris in the second screenshot would lead to a feedback loop:

Regarding audio passing through to output, there was an issue in the editor where the Spillover would sometimes show “Nothing” even though it is some other value. So it might be the case where the Ventris is connected to the spillover node.

I just pushed an editor update to fix this, and also an updated firmware today.

If the issue still occurs for you, can you let me know how you’re bypassing the Ventris (Loop A)? Via CC message or ML10X message type?

Hello @James,

I am encountering some strange feedback behavior when in advanced mode too.
At first sight, the behavior seems identical to @elsammo’s report.

The ML10x is a revB, installed firmware is 2025-01-10_ML10X_REV_B_Firmware_v_1_2_0_BETA.hex, Editor build is v1.3.11250110510

My setup in this scenario is the following :

  • Loop A : Quad cortex (Stereo)
  • Loop B : Mod dwarf (Stereo)
  • Loop C : Poly Beebo (Stereo)
  • Loop D :
    • Tip => Simplifier DLX chan A
    • Ring => Simplifier DLX chan B
  • Loop E : Unused : no cable connected

Spillover is deactivated on all loops.

I have a simple patch where I only have the two channels of the loop D. In this case, there is no problem.

(this is my first post so I can join only one media in the post)
I+ => D+ => O+
I- => D- => O-

As soon as I convert it to advanced mode, it creates a feedback loop.

In this scenario, I have observed the following behaviors :

  • If there is no ampSim loaded in the Quad cortex or if the gain is low enough, the feedback doesn’t create a larsen
  • If a signal comes from the Quad cortex, it goes to the main output and (at least) to the Dwarf as I can see the Dwarf’s input Leds flashing
  • When the Dwarf plays a metronome click, the signal is not routed to the main output.
    => (It seems that the loop A is the only one impacted by this bug)

Hope this helps :slight_smile: .
