Im putting together a board with the Ml10x and Helix as a the midi controller for it. My question is I want to be able to use the H9 in mono in/mono out for pitch effects before my drive pedals on one preset for the Ml10x but also want another preset where the H9 is mono in/stereo out into the helix after my drives. Is this possible to do in simple mode and how would I set up the routing in the ml10x and inside the editor?
(i’m assuming your routing is ML10X → Helix since you didn’t say anything specific)
For any pedal that you want to set up as MISO (mono in stereo out), you’d need to use a stereo loop hooked up like so (using Loop A as the example, but of course it could be any):
Loop A.Send Tip → H9 input 1
(H9 input 2 left open)
H9 Output 1→ Loop A.Return Tip
H9 Output 2 → Loop A.Return Ring
If you’re going mono, just use the Loop A.tip loop on the top row of simple mode like you’d normally do.
If you’re using it stereo, connect the Loop A.tip wherever it needs to go on the top row. On the second row, put the Loop A.ring as the first block after the Input Ring (which it will ignore), and connect that to Output Ring.
