ML10x Output Level

Hello!

I’m super new to MIDI and got my MC6 Pro and ML10x today. I’ve been having a great time getting everything set up but noticed one issue on the ML10x that I wanted to reach out about to see if anyone had encountered anything similar. It seems as if the ML10x is making my signal quieter when it’s in my signal path, and quieter again when i’m using a pedal in one of the loops.

I tasted this by comparing the output volume with my amp’s effects loop switched off, the loop on with the ML10x in it, and the loop on with the ML10x in it with a pedal in loop A of the ML10x. I noticed when doing this that the volume level dropped off first when the ML10x was in the chain, and dropped off more when the pedal in loop A was added.

I wanted to reach out to see if this was a known issue and if there was anything I could do to get around it. Thanks!

There shouldn’t be any noticeable volume drop. To troubleshoot:

  1. Since you mentioned volume drops further when Loop A is in the chain, can you connect a cable from Send A directly to Return A (so it acts as a complete bypass). When Loop A is engaged, do you still encounter the volume drop?
  2. Make sure it isn’t an issue with the cable itself.
