Hi there, trying to use an ML10x with my macbook & have tried the desktop editor app and chrome web editor but been unable to connect to the ML10x with only midi cables connected? Using a DOREMiDi USB-C cable. when plugged in it detects the DOREMiDi i/o ports in the editors to ‘connect’ but pressing it never …connects. no errors, except in the web app which displays ‘Connection Failed. No response from device’.
the ML10x is powered & on etc. but doesn’t show any activity.i’ve used the test function to see if midi’s received when pressing connect, which does come up, but yeh just doesn’t connect with the midi cables alone.
only able to use the editor when usb-c is plugged in which of course comes up as it’s own i/o port option to connect in the editor.
is this expected that usb-c is required to manage/edit the device? or should you be able to connect over just midi cables fine? and is this type of midi usb-c cable not suitable for some reason? DOREMiDi usb-c cable i’m using is pretty common & works fine from my laptop to all other midi gear i use.
running latest stable ML10x firmware, intel mac running sonoma 14.4.1
