My 10x (1.2.0 beta) wasn’t outputting any sound, so I loaded a previous save. No sound still, so I did a factory reset. When I tried to reload 1.2.0 beta firmware, the update failed, and now my 10x is bricked and won’t boot. It also isn’t recognized by any editor (beta or otherwise) or firmware updator (I tried 1.1.3, and 0.9.1). Is there anything I can do? Thank you!
@james might chime in later, but until then, this was his answer for resetting firmware from an earlier thread:
Apologies, I don’t know how I missed that post when searching last night. This solved the issue! Thank you!
no worries, it’s three years old!
I thought it might be over, however..
Ok, so, the tactile switch inside the unit fixed the firmware brick issue, but I still have no sound output. These are the things that I have verified to work:
— guitar(s)
— guitar cable(s) to tuner
— tuner
— tuner output cable(s) to ML10X input
— ML10X output cable(s) to ABY pedal
— ABY pedal
— ABY pedal output cable(s) to amps
— Amplifiers
— ML10X Input → Output preset
I’m not sure what else it could be. My board worked the last time I used it, then I let it sit for a while–and nothing. I have fiddled around with all of the splitter cables, but I haven’t had any luck so far.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Lucas
Can you try using the Send of a loop as an output and making your preset go input → that loop → amp?
I finally had time to try this out. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any luck. Still no sound. I tried Input > B Tip Send > Amp in Simple and Advanced presets, two different TRS splitters, different cables, and two different amps.
@james Any ideas? I’ve got a good handle on ML10X programming but not the hardware as much.
I’d recommend removing the backplate and then just visually inspecting the board. There is one board that is connected to the audio boards and it is possible that it might have come loose if the unit was dropped.
James called it! I have sound now. Thank you so much! The board wasn’t fully seated in the headers. All good!
