ML10X Advanced Mode preset problems with 4 Cable Method, output signal to amp now is higher

I have successfully set up my ML10X to have effects before the amp or in the fx loop (previously was just putting everything in the fx loop). I can easily set up presets in the simple mode, but presets I had set up in advanced mode that previously worked now are causing all sorts of issues.

Example one:
screenshot shows routing on editor, but photo of ML10X screen shows a different routing.

As well, a routing like this does not work at all. Some sort of feedback loop occurs from the Flange pedal:

Lastly, since I have changed to having the ability to have effects before the amp or in the fx loop, the signal going to my amp seems to be much hotter, even when no effects are engaged. Previously, in simple preset mode, I didn’t have to add the Output Tip to the chain. Now I have to add it for any sound to come out. Is this somehow causing the amp to get a hotter signal? Here’s a sample screenshot:

thank you!

Just to clarify, this is a beta firmware that you are using, but it looks like you are not using the beta editor. You need to use the beta editor for the beta firmware: https://editor-beta.morningstar.io/ml10x

The display will just show the loops that are using in the Preset, and the bypass status. Showing the actual graph is not possible (at least not currently in this release) due to the complexity from the infinite possibilities.

For the routing in example 1, there is a volume increase because the signals are summed together at the output. If you join the connection to the same input at the Output Ring node, then the signals are averaged.

Can you check that this feature is turned off in the controller and let me know if the issue persists for this: Issue routing Input Ring signal in Simple Mode | Morningstar Engineering Helpdesk

Thx for your response. Input Ring feature is set to Input Ring.

Thx for tip on beta editor. Are the two inputs on Output Tip and Output Ring supposed to be labeled Input and Output? Or should they both be labeled Input? See screenshot:

In Advanced mode, no effects are working from Input Ring > Output Ring now: I’ve tried all of the effects. They work if I put them on the Input Tip chain though. Any ideas?

What is the Input Ring and Output Ring connected (the physical connections) to?

They should both be labelled as input - you can just updated the names in the editor.
