Minifreak Bank + Preset Select?

Hey everyone, new customer! Just got the MC4 PRO and having a blast customizing it. Truly, a great product.

I have an Arturia Minifreak that I’m hoping to send a program change to when I enter a specific MC4 bank. You can have hundreds of MF presets, which are separated by their own banks 1-3.

According to MF documentation, if you want to select a preset that’s in bank 2, you first have to send a message to the MF to declare bank 2 and then select the preset using PC number.

I’m having a hard time understanding how the MC4Pro can do this, if at all? When I select PC, it doesn’t give me an option to also select a bank, just a program change. Any ideas on how MC4 can do this?

Typically, CC#0 (sometimes CC#32) is the bank change CC. So you’d send two messages:

  • CC#0 = 0, 1, or 2 for your bank
  • then your PC message for the specific patch in that bank.
