MIDI In (Morningstar MC8 Pro Port 2 , 3 , 4) Ports for MAC

Hello ME Community,

I use my MC8Pro to facilitate articulations in Gig Performer 5 which consists mostly of CC# and Keyswitches.

I am a keyboard player and have 2 88key controllers and 1 GP5 Rackspace to call up either single, layered, or split keyboard patch mappings on both my 88key controllers.

Will there ever be a use for those other 3 Midi Input ports on the MC8Pro on Mac so I could cc#s to one and Note numbers to another?

MC8Pro works great for controlling plugins that utilize CC or Keyswitch articulations but not both at the same time from the same bank

When I call a key switch articulation say for Chris Hein or Amplesound.net plugs which are Keyswitch controlled and I have any keyboard instrument (pianos, EP’s, Clavs, Vibes, etc then those keyswitch commands play low notes with high velocity if one of those plugins is active.

I tried creating a scriplet in GP5 to translate a CC# to NN# so I would only need to send CC#s and then have they forwarded on by the scriplet however it’s not able to correctly interpret the MIDI nuances sent out by the MC8Pro.

I have the MC8Pro directly connection to the audio plugins and all do not transposed.

All transposition comes from another midi input so transposition happens before the plugins. It wound be really handy if one off those other 3 MIDI inputs from the MC8Pro could be use to use send Keyswitch midi or if these was a midi translator Plugin powerful enough to translate complete MC8Pro Midi CC# Preset and Release with velocity and have it translated to those specific plugins that use Keyswitch Note On Note off, with Velocity.

Do you have any ideas how to be able to use a CC# plug in the same bank as a Keyswitch one?

Thank You Curt
