This may be a dumb question but I am currently using the MC8 to drive 6 x Strymon pedals (both 5-pin and 1/4" TRS without any issue) but I now need to expand the umber of TRS ports.
Are all the mini TRS ports on the Midi Box bi-directional? i.e. so one TRS port on the MIDI BOX supports both Midi in and midi out messages?
The MIDI Box only splits the midi signal so you can control more devices, and does not implement bi-directional MIDI. Sounds like the Strymon Conduit might be what you are looking for?

So to be clear, I would need to use two ports on the MIDI BOX if I want bidirectional, one for Midi out and one for midi in?
On that basis, I agree with you that the Strymon Conduit may be a better option.
