Message scrolling with multiple messages per preset

I am trying to set up a message scroll to cycle through my stacked overdrives in Ableton Live. For example, one press would turn off both overdrives, the next press would turn on one, the next would turn on both, and the final would turn on both plus a lead delay and EQ.

I think I can accomplish each of these steps with one CC since they are incremental – but then when I get back to 1 I have to send multiple cc’s to turn off all the effects. Is there a way to do this?

The way I have this set up in Loopy pro is using a widget in loopy pro that performs the action so I can just control that widget, but I don’t know how to do the same in Ableton, and would be easier to be able to do it directly from the controller.

Off the top of my head you could hide presets for each of those and then just use Engage Presets that call back to the other hidden presets with all your CCs

What @cVarsity said. And then use ‘message scroll’ instead of a scroll counter

I did not know I could engage other presets – this is great. It took me a bit of tinkering to understand what you were saying.

I’m making a second page with each stage of distortion as its own preset, and then scrolling the presets on the main page. Awesome! Thanks
