Hi everyone.
This is my first post in the forum, so apologies if I’ve missed an important step!
I’m trying to program a preset on my MC6 Pro that will allow me to scroll through messages and display different Preset Names (Short names? Toggle names) as I do.
I am using the MC6 Pro to control loops on my Ml10X. The presets are Short Named as follows:
- Pedal 1
- Pedal 2
- Pedal 3
- Pedals 1 & 2
- Pedals 1 & 3
- Pedals 2 & 3
Currently they are all programmed to “Set” the loops they correspond to. They are all in the same reset group, and function perfectly as such.
What I want to do, is take the final Preset “Pedals 2 & 3” and scroll through Messages that will allow me to cycle between two different Named Presets with Set Loops as “Pedals 2 & 3” and “Pedals 1, 2 & 3” using the following sequence:
- First Press Toggles Preset “Loops 2 & 3” (Press to Set Loops, Change Background to Toggled Colour)
- Second Press Scroll to next Message (Press to Set Loops, Release to Rename “Loops 1 2 3”)
- Third press cycles back to First Press/ Toggled Preset “Loops 2 & 3”
- Engaging another preset switch within the same Reset group resets Preset “Loops 2 & 3” back to Short Name.
When I try this, the Preset jumps straight to “Pedals 1 2 & 3” and when pressed again, Toggles the Preset off (short name) without cycling. When I reset the preset by engaging another one, it resets Short Named to the opposite of it’s last message (Loops 2 & 3 resets Short to Loops 1, 2 & 3, vice versa).
Through reading the manual I would have thought that adding a Press > Preset Rename Message would do that, and then allow me to scroll back to “Loops 1 & 2” by pressing it again. I’ve also tried adding first engagement commands, release commands to change preset background colours etc, but I can’t get it to cycle between Set Loops 2 & 3, Set Loops 1, 2 & 3, and then reset back to Short Name.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
