MC8 "Two way communication" with Ableton Live

Hello!

With the MC8 switches (midi cc) I turn on / off a track in Ableton Live. I also have a Nektar Pacer pedal. Pacer knows the “function” that if I control a track in Ableton Live with a switch (midi cc) and I turn it on/off in Ableton Live, the Pacer “sees it” and Pacer’s switch also follows the on / off. Does MC8 also know this “two-way” control?

No, the MC8 does not know when buttons are pressed in Ableton. How does the Pacer know which switch to turn on/off when you click in Ableton? Did you have to map it?
