MC8 - Stuck in [Editor] Mode

I’ve noticed that even when the Morningstar Editor application is closed on my computer system, the display indicates that it’s active.

In order to get the display to show the current preset as opposed to the [Editor] notification, I have to resort to removing USB power from the unit.

I can’t help but wonder if this bug isn’t creating some of the MIDI havoc I’m experiencing when changing banks.

You can press D+E on the MC8 to exit editor mode on the controller.

Disconnect button on the editor should be pressed first before closing but yes, this might not be ideal. We will check if a routine can be added to automatically disconnect the controller when the tab is closed.

That’s a big help. Nothing worse than having to bend down all the time and fiddle with a cable.
