My aim is to have a single foot switch to control my H90 program active and bypass status, and for the MC8 Pro screen to correctly reflect the status.
- H90 is expecting messages on midi channel 2.
- I have configured H90 CC 1 for Parameter Active/Bypass
- I have set up a foot switch (D in page 2 of bank 1) to be the switch I will use
- Toggle mode on
- Msg 1, Press, CC, CC1, CC value 1, midi channel 2, position both
- Msg 2, Press, CC, CC1, CC value 127, midi channel 2, position both
Result is good, it makes the swap as appropriate when pressed.
The problem is that when I turn either device (H90 or MC8 Pro) off and back on, the status displayed on the MC8 PRO screen (ON or OFF) may or may not reflect the status of the H90. That makes sense because there is no way the MC8 Pro can know what state the H90 is in. However, it remains in the inverted position after a series of presses.
I would have thought that if the MC8 was displaying ON and the H90 was bypassed, and I pressed the foot switch it would then display OFF, and the H90 would receive a midi message telling it to bypass (thus not changing state as it was already in bypass mode). Instead, it is switching to On. This means the two devices stay out of sync. Here is the MC8 Pro configuration.
