My MC8 Pro connects to my ipad when I first install the app but then when I disconnect and power down the MC8, I can’t reconnect it back to the iPad when i power it back up again. I get a failure to connect message. Can u help? The MC8 is running the latest firmware and my iPad is version 18.1.1.

Hi. Are you referring to connecting to the Morningstar Editor on the iPad? Are you using a wired or bluetooth connection? We’ve just tested wired and wireless connection with the latest MC8 PRO on iPad OS and they are both working well.
If you are using a wired connection, be sure to select the connection with Morningstar Engineering as the Manufacturer.
Using wireless Bluetooth. Connected great with initial install of the app on the iPad but won’t reconnect after I shut everything off and go back into it later.
Am I ok to use the included USB cable with my pc or will that disqualify me from a full refund upon return if I need to return it? The cable is packaged in a sealed bag, which is why I’m asking.
