My MC8 pro won’t keep the bluetooth connection alive unless the target device is side by side. I’ve tested with a Mac Mini M4, iPad and iPhone. If by any chance it establishes connection while being away(1 foot) from the device, connection will drop after a few seconds.
Device and bluetooth firmware are up to date.
Any advice? It’s really frustrating thinking about sending my device across the globe once again to be repaired. As it seems to be hardware problem.
That’s weird. I’ve just tested with my Mac, iPhone and iPad and I’m getting at least 5m. I’d have tested for even further away but don’t have anyone else here to trigger the MC8P or monitor the other device.
How is the MC8P powered? Is it definitely getting enough current? For reference, I just tested mine with a USB cable/charger.
It is connected to the Mac Mini through the USB C port. I have also tested powering it up using a Cioks DC 7 set to 9v 500MA. Same result
