MC8 Pro and bluetooth midi clock

I’m trying to send midi clock from the MC8 Pro via bluetooth midi, but something’s not working right…
Using the USB connection works fine and stable, but bluetooth is constantly changing tempo all over the place. The receiving unit (Macbook software) indicates a center tempo close to what should be transmitted, so it receives something…

Bluetooth midi should be good for midi clock, no?

Here I’m sending 100 bpm:

Hi,
BLE isn’t very stable and you get a lot of latency. So, no I wouldn’t recommend to use a Bluetooth connection to send clock.

Ah, ok :cowboy_hat_face:

At least the MIDI Clock Tap can be used as an indicator on the MC8P. I’ll just send another CC# msg to tap.

Yes, bluetooth for MIDI clock really isn’t stable so I wouldn’t recommend using MIDI clock with that.
We tested with the CME WIDI Jack as well and got the same results when connecting it to a computer.

If between 2 WIDI Jacks, it might work - they should be using some other protocol to sync the BPM (instead of constant MIDI Clock messages to determine the BPM).
