OK, so I am pretty attached to the tones of my mesa lonestar. But since the band is doing well and getting gigs at all sorts of places, I need a more practical and portable solution. Ordered an Opus to replace the tube amp, for when I cannot get at the gig location by car. When I can, I still prefer my mesa, until, maybe some day… Anyway, the amp has two nice channels and a solo boost. Which I all switch between with the relays from the mc6pro.
On the mc6pro, I use a few banks as setlists, with bank jumps to song banks. There I have switches for intro, verse, chorus, solo, and some song specific stuff.
Now I’m thinking about the best set up to easily use the Mesa one night and the opus the other.
I could make a second profile, but if I make adjustments in one song bank, it won’t change in the other profile. I think the best option would be to program all messages to both the Opus and mesa in the same banks. I will only connect one or the other, so the messages won’t affect anything if the unused amp is not connected.
What do you guys think of the set up? How would you go about? Or can I make an amp select button that will change all messages with some sort of
if selected amp == a
