Hi, I believe that there is a bug when sending bank preset messages. With an MC6 Pro v3.12.3, I am experiencing a situation where only messages 1-9 are sent. Everything above that is not sent according to the Midi Monitor.
Screenshot of the Bank Presets from 7 to 11 with the midi monitor when changing to the bank. Green means send, red means missing.
Yes, there’s currently a functional limit of 8 engage presets that can be executed in one preset.
But it is there to prevent the controller from calling too many Engage Preset messages iteratively.
This shouldn’t apply for your example though - we’ll fix this in the firmware to be released later today.
Thanks for the confirmation!
Sounds like a classic example to me, where the interception of edge cases by the UI becomes difficult.
It is a bit unfavorable that the user does not get a warning about unsent commands and has to search for the reason for the unexpected behavior himself. A reference to the limit of 8 engage preset commands when activating Banks in the manual would perhaps help.
It’s more of a bug. The 8 engage preset limits is meant to limit an engage preset calling another engage preset calling another engage preset… For your case it shouldn’t apply as you are calling it sequentially.
There’s one more minor thing we need more time to work on before releasing the firmware (exp % showing even if no expression is set) so I don’t think we can release the official firmware today.
