Hi guys! I am running my pedalboard with MC6 Pro + ML10x. I have no problem running both of this as my loop switcher option. However, as I would like to switch my preset on my strymon volante with the same tap tempo every patch, I switch on the MIDI persist option.
When I tap in the tempo, there’s a noise that is in sync with the tempo coming out of my board. When I stop the clock there is no noise. Anyone have a solution?
My guess is because all of my pedal and switcher is MIDI connected, somehow the ML10x picks up the constant midi clock signal and somehow it becomes a noise. I have no clues guys, thanks in advance!
One thing to check is the path of any USB connections. USB is notoriously noisy and I feel like I’m constantly chasing gremlins when trying to diagnose noise on USB MIDI pedals, which are increasingly common.
Obviously it’s best to deal with the noise issue, but another short term solution might be to send the taps themselves to the strymon instead of sending the clock. Sending CC#93 to a Timeline when you tap sends the taps themselves to the Timeline, bypassing the need for MIDI Clock being sent to it.
