MC6 Pro + HX Stomp - Snapshots & Background Colours

Hi all,

New to the Morningstar world so hopefully this isn’t an already asked/dumb question:

I’ve set up a bank for my HX Stomp, with the main part being:

Preset A - Select Preset
Preset B - FS4 (with background colour change)
Preset C - FS5 (with background colour change)
Preset D - Snapshot 1
Preset E - Snapshot 2
Preset F - Snapshot 3

Is there a way of having the background colour change based on which Snapshot is on? For example:

Hit Preset D - Engage SS1 on HX Stomp and Background Colour on Preset D Engages.
Then hit Preset E - Engage SS2 on HX Stomp, Engage Background Colour on Preset E and DISENGAGE Background Colour on Preset D.

I don’t know if there are settings within MC6 Pro to make this happen, or if there are some MIDI CC commands I can send back from HX Stomp to MC6 Pro to make this happen, or if it’s even possible.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Toggle messages for each preset. Using your example (and ignoring the actual MIDI commands for the HX Stomp):

for Preset D:
Action: press
Type: Set Toggle
Toggle Position: Engage Toggle “D”

Action: press
Type: Set Toggle
Toggle Position: Dis-engage Toggle “E & F”

for Preset E:
Action: press
Type: Set Toggle
Toggle Position: Engage Toggle “E”

Action: press
Type: Set Toggle
Toggle Position: Dis-engage Toggle “D & F”

Of course also be sure to set different colors for Position 1 and 2. Using this method, remember that if you use the HX Stomp to switch snapshots instead of the MC6, the MC6 won’t know that unless you program the Stomp to send MIDI back to the MC6 and program the two accordingly (which is also possible, with the right MIDI connections setup).
