MC6 Pro Assigning MIDI Devices to a specific channel

I have watched several demos on MIDI and how to setup but must have missed how to actually assign a specific channel to a MIDI Device. I have two Strymon MIDI pedals, a Volante and Deco. Using the editor how do I actually know which channel to assign to send only signals to that device? I should note the Volante is DIN5 and Deco will be TRS.

Help!!!

Mike

Check the Strymon manuals for details on how to set midi channels on their pedals.

Also worth noting that only Deco v2 has midi. Original deco does not.

MIDI channel assignment is not done by MC6 (or any other midi device)…

I would read each pedal manual on how to assign midi channels…

I hope this helps.

You have to set up the pedal to receive MIDI FIRST, and then set the MIDI CHANNEL number.
This is done with a power up mode.
RTFM to see how.

*there are two options to set the Midi Channel:

IF the midi channel number you want to use is between 1-4 you can twist the correct knob on the pedal to set it.

If it is greater than four -
THEN you normally hold down the “save” button - until it blinks blue,
This puts the pedal in “”MIDI CHANNEL MODE”

*the next PC message sent out from the MC controller will SET THE midi channel number (1-16 max).
Out of the box I think it set to channel 1.
Hope this helps
