I got a used MC6 and noticed, if moved around or knocked slightly, that the display backlight would flicker or dim entirely. Is there something internally I can check myself to resolve this? Thanks!
Remove the backplate - there is a brightness trimpot at the side. Try adjusting the trimpot and see if it resolves the issue.
If it does not, then maybe the ribbon cable connecting the circuit board to the LCD has a connection problem. Removing the ribbon cable and then refitting it may help.
