MC6 MK2 to MC6 PRO Upgrade ... can I import the existing MC6 MK2 JSON Full Backup?

Hey Morningstar !

Looking to grab an MC6 Pro - quick question.

To save some time and effort in re-programming:-

1 => can I load and import the full Backup JSON of my MC6 MK2 into the MC6 Pro ?

2 => if yes, does it correctly pickup and assign all things correctly ?

Hi. Yes, you can. As they have the same number of switches per bank, your switch presets will be carried over in the same layout to the MC6 PRO. Just double check your controller global settings after restoring the backup to make sure the settings are as desired (Omniport Settings, MIDI Channel names, switch sensitivity etc). There are also some new additional settings you have available on the MC6 PRO such as the MIDI Thru matrix that allows you to route MIDI from different inputs to different MIDI thrus.

And you can also import that from a 6 to an 8, but if you care about where presets are on the top of bottom row, you may want to need to adjust presets 4-6.

The UI lets you rearrange presets in each bank by dragging.
