I totaliy agree. I only used that as a workaround
This would be great, and not to side track too much but could this be done with Boss GT-1000 & Core too?
Another vote for adding Effects sync to the Fractal Integration. I believe that Fractal uses Sysex messages to control the effects blocks.

@james Is there any movement on this? This is really vital in order for the MC to be fully featured with Fractal
I’ll try and give an update on this next week.
I just read through the SysEx documentation again. We should be able to add a “Effect engage/bypass” mode for the Fractal Integration message type for the PRO models, where the user has to specify the Effect ID for each switch (see Appendix 1 here: https://www.fractalaudio.com/downloads/misc/Axe-Fx%20III%20MIDI%20for%203rd%20Party%20Devices.pdf), and then the controller will display the bypass state for each of the selected effect. The number of effects will be limited to the number of switches the controller has (i.e. MC6 PRO = 6 effects, MC8 PRO = 8 effects)
We should be able to do this - already have a working firmware on the MC8 PRO. Will need to test it with the other models before confirming.

For the moment, my experimenting is not very successfull 
I setup a preset to Action : Press / Axe FX Integration (FM3)
When I first press the preset on MC8 Pro, Iit loads the preset names from FM3 
If I click one of the 8 presets, I move to Scenes, wnd the names are loading from FM3)
But then, It doesnt load the names anymore. I get Preset 1… Preset 9. And Scene 1.. Scene 8
I just tested this again (with an AxeFX3) and it seems to be working fine. Just to clarify, it works the first time when you start the preset integration, but then when you select the preset, then the scene integration does not pull the names from the FM3? And then even after you exit the scene integration and start preset integration again, the names no longer gets loaded? So the names only gets loaded the first time?
If you restart the controller again, does the same behavior occur?
How about if you revert back to an earlier firmware?
