MC4 Pro issues with bluetooth on Windows11

Hi,
I have a problem with my MC4 Pro controller, my PC (Windows 11) doesn’t detect my MC4 via Bluetooth, even though I already have some devices connected via Bluetooth, so BT works fine.
No problem on my Android devices, it works. With USB on the PC, it also works and I can connect to the editor . My MC4 is not connected to an other, I desactivated all other BT device
I found a few messages about this here ( MC8 Pro Bluetooth issue : connection failed, no response from device ), but it didn’t work, my PC still can’t find the MC4. If anyone has an idea, is this related to the MC4 Pro? I don’t understant why my PC can’t find the MC4 :frowning:
Thanks for your help

Do you mean you have other Bluetooth MIDI devices connecting to Windows? Because general Bluetooth tends to be fine, but Bluetooth MIDI isn’t fully implemented in Windows.

As @jason.nguyen has mentioned, general Bluetooth devices are usually fine with Windows but Bluetooth MIDI devices are often quite problematic because Windows has always lacked native support for Bluetooth MIDI. However, I’ve seen mentioned that a recent update to Win 11 included support for BT MIDI but as I rarely use my Win machine, I haven’t checked this out.

So…unless you’re running the very latest update
for Win 11 and this update does include support for BT MIDI, what you’re experiencing is - unfortunately -normal. An easy solution would be to buy a CME WIDI Bud Pro to connect to your computer…this will definitely provide a reliable BT MIDI connection with the MC4 Pro.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I’m such an idiot, actually I don’t have anything connected via BT :scream:, my mouse and keyboard use their own dongle, I was convinced they were BT like on my laptop. And actually I hadn’t installed the antennas on my motherboard since I don’t use wifi, so no chance BT would work :joy:.

Once the antennas are plugged in, it works way better and the MC4 is detected and I can use the editor

Problem solved
