MC3 - possible to use an expression pedal AND an aux switch?

I have the MC3, and have watched the video about using aux switches, but in the MC3 manual, I’m only seeing it possible to connect either an aux switch OR an expression pedal to the EXP 1 jack. Is it possible to use the 1/8" TRS midi output jacks as either an expression pedal input or aux switch connection? Thanks!

That’s not possible - The hardware for 3.5mm outputs is for midi output only. Only the 1/4" port is switchable

Man, that’s what I thought and was afraid of. I would think the MC3 would be the most likely candidate for adding extra switches, so that’s a bummer that I can’t do both. Thanks for the response.
