MC 8 Power without Connection

When I connect my MC 8 to my Mac via USB the MC 8 receives power but the online editor does not list my MC 8. When I push the cable on the side of the MC 8 to the left, sometimes it works. Do I need to replace USB connector on my MC 8? Why would the power work and the connection not work at the same time? Changing USB cables does not solve the problem.

Sounds like either a faulty connector or cable. Since you mentioned you’ve tried different cables then it might be the connector.

Power and Data are sent on different wires in the cable. It might be that the pins for data are faulty. Can you visually inspect the USB port on the MC8 and see if anything looks off?
