MC-8 not passing on Midi-Clock from Ableton

Hello,

I have a problem with the MC-8 controller (or the Editor). I am sending Midi-Clock from Ableton and the MC8 does not recieve it and pass clock-signal onwards to the Strymon Volante Delay. If I use the 5Pin-Midicable and plug it into the Volante directly, the midi-clock signal is received just fine. Same cable going into MC8 and from Midi-Out with 5Pin cable into Volante, nothing. Set the Editor to Midi-Thru OK. Disabled Clock persist. etc etc

From my point of view, having worked at this and trying various obvious things for two hours I am at the end. I have no explanation why MC8 does not pass on or receive Midi-Clock. Where is that mystery switch that needs to be set? Does anybody have an idea?

This would be the Cross MIDI Thru setting. When turned on, it will pass incoming USB messages to DIN, and incoming DIN messages to USB.

Hi James, thank you for your help, this got me on the right path and I tried it out. Eventually, I think the main problem is Windows and the Midi-Ports. I was going out via Ableton and into Focusrite with 5-Pin Din into the MC-8 but also via the Chrome browser and USB. I am now running the editor on a seperate Laptop, I had spare. Now there isnt that issue anymore. Thank you, all the best!
