Loop varies in volume when shorted with different cables

Loop D varies in volume when shorted with different cables. All cables checked for continuity and shorts and seem fine. If I have a true bypass pedal, they seem fine when used for the return from pedal to ML5 but not when used to send from ML5 to pedal. They vary from working normally to quieter to not working at all?

I’m baffled by this…

Can anyone help?

Thanks

And this only happens in Loop D and not the other loops? You can drop an email to help@morningstarfx.com with your order number and we’ll get it sorted.

100% my fault… I’m using the new EBS solderless flat cables and hadnt assembled them properly!!

They are amazing cables but they need some attention to detail when assembling. All good now.

Though I cant work out why they would give a weak signal rather than no signal, and why they passed all continuity tests and no shorts on a multimeter…
