When I send a CC # 127 to engage Loop A (CC#1 / 127), the loop engages but mutes. No sound. If I press the button on the ML5, the loop engages normally with sound. I tried the same pedal in loop B (EHX attack decay), no problem, works as expected in loop B(CC#2/127). I don’t want to lose a loop, though. Any reason Loop 1 is muting when sending CC?
This doesn’t directly solve your problem, but have you tried setting the ML5 to MIDI mode 2 and using CC’s 20-24 for loop A - E? I don’t have an ML5 on me so unfortunately can’t test to see if this is a MIDI bug.

Can you share a video of this?
The white LED is directly linked to the state of the relay, so if the LED is turned on, then the relay will be engaged as well. So if you are sending a CC#1 to engage Loop A, and the white LED turns on, then the loop should be engaged, same as pressing the button.
Try this:
when you send a CC#1 message and then Loop A LED turns on, try connecting your amp to the Loop A Send port and hear if there is a signal. Then try connecting your instrument to Return A, and amplifier to Output and check if there is a signal. This test will check if it is the Send or Return port that is the issue.
I tried hooking the amp and instrument up as per instructions and got audio coming through, hooked the pedal back up, and now it’s working. A bit baffled by that, but it’s working, so all good, hopefully it does not come up again. Thanks for the help.
