Kemper Player MC6Pro Toggle Issue

hi folks

New user, I’m using MC6Pro to send/trigger PC and CC messages to Kemper Player. I’m using “toggle” to select the morph in Kemper player. I’ve mapped the CC required along with the Bank and PC numbers and all works perfectly - the first time!

After that the “toggle” is out of sync with MC6Pro

For example: I’m in Bank 1 Program 1. It’s a clean sound for the verses. I then press program 2 (it’s a distorted rhythm sound for the chorus) and then using the toggle on program 2- second button push (which is a morphed boost for the solo) Then I want to go back to my clean un morphed sound (every program has a morphed boost). However what happens is when I return to PC1 it’s selected thatPC but with the morph active (the toggle is “on”

I can’t figure out how to get MC6 to always go back to the initial program change without the morph active. If I toggle the switch (second press) the display is out of sink (showing as un-morphed but actually morphed)

Hope that makes sense ?

Anyone got any clues on how to make MC6 always return to initial PC state?

I’ve tried a few options - but none seem to work so far.

Thanks

Hi and welcome!

Your config is not very clear to me but one advice could be useful:

  • preset 1 on press for pos 1 with two messages :
    • PC for your preset on the kemper
    • CC to deactive the morph
  • preset 1 on pres for pos 2, two messages
    • PC for your preset on the kemper
    • CC to activate the morph

If you push the button of the preset 1 for the first time, it send the PC to the kemper without the morph.

If you push the button of the preset 1 for the second time, it send the PC to the kemper with the morph.

If you push the button of the preset 1 for the third time, it send the PC to the kemper without the morph, and so on.

Is that help?

If not, give us the exact config of your preset(s) in the bank (there is no “program” in the MC6PRO nor in the Kemper

Thankyou for prompt response ! Really appreciated.
My setup is as follows:-
Kemper Profile Player Set to MIDI Ch. 7
MC6Pro Transmitting PC and CC on MIDI Ch. 7

Example:-
PC 4 selected
Saved in Bank 1. Preset A. Named as “CHUGG”
Toogle Mode set to “ON”

Page 1.
Message 1 = PC 4 (set to POS 1)
Message 2 = CC 80 Value 0 (this is controller to turn off Morph) (Set to POS 1)
Page 2.
Message 1 = CC 80 Value 127 (this is controller to turn on Morph) (Set to POS 2)

When you select 1st button press - PC 4 in this situation – the LED display now incorrectly reads “BOOST”. It should just read page 1 display of “CHUGG”
Hope this explains it better?
I have images and descriptions saved in a PDF - but as a new user, system wont allow upload.

I don’t understand why you use two pages on the MC8 pro.

As far I understand, you just have to use a preset A named “Chugg” with 3 messages :

Message 1 = PC 4 (set to POS 1)
Message 2 = CC 80 Value 0 (Set to POS 1)
Message 3 = CC 80 Value 127 (Set to POS 2)

To distinguish the two pos when you use the preset A, chose one color (e.g. red) for pos 1 and another color (e.g. green) for pos 2.
