Keep stepping on 2 switches

Last night I had a massive gig and when it came to my big solo - a few times - I accidentally pressed switches A &. B, switching banks and completely destroying the experience. How do I turn off this double press thing?

I also just bought a Pedalnetics 8-button switch and wondered what others would programme the extra buttons to do for live guitar use. I thought Tuner, bank up/ down, boost (on my IRJ), etc.

I love the MC6 Pro but I need to ensure it functions the way I want it to.

There is a setting in the controller settings section
Dual Switch Lock
Disable dual switch presses. For eg. Pressing switches [A + B] banks down on your controller. If this setting is enabled, the controller will not bank up/down with dual switch presses.
Keep in mind you won’t be able to bank up/down on the controller, but you can program the pedalnetics to do that

Excellent. I’ll do that thanks.

I find with the MC8 the dual presses are hard to get right due to the spacing.

Hoping they add “vertical” dual presses on A+E and D+H as these are easier to hit precisely. Seems like a simple feature to add.

Yep we’ll look into making dual switches programmable

@Sorbz62, rather than enabling Dual Switch Lock, I’d recommend setting the switch sensitivity to 5 instead. This makes it virtually impossible to accidentally switch banks when playing but you can still get into the controller’s onboard settings if necessary….albeit you need to get the timing perfect to do so. :winking_face_with_tongue:

There are times at a gig when you might want to adjust the screen brightness or another global setting etc and if you’ve enabled Dual Switch Lock, you’d need to connect the MC6 Pro to the editor (via another device) in order to make any changes.

I hope this means that vertical dual presses will no longer have to be mapped to existing presets on the MC8 Pro, and can have their own unique presets, as on the MC8 non-pro. It seems odd that dual presses currently have to use up J K L M on page 2 of the bank?
