I have two pedals from Jet Pedals. The Lamb and the Lion.
I have the Lamb connected to the 1/8" Midi out on the side of my MC6 Pro. It goes directly to a 1/4" MIDI jack on the Lamb. This works great.
I also have the Lion, but I have it connected to an Omniport using a 1/4" to 1/4" TRS cable. It is not responding to messages. However, if I connect it using the Lamb’s cable, it responds.
All 4 Omniport are set to Midi Out - Type A (Standard).
I’m guessing there’s a different Omniport setting that the Lion prefers, but I’m not sure how to know for sure. I don’t see anything in the pedal’s manual about Tip Active, Ring Active, or Type B unless I’ve just missed it.
I’ll reach out to Jet Pedals Thursday, but if you guys have any tips to try, please let me know. I’ll do trial and error on the Omniport settings, but I don’t want to mess something up if there’s a potential hazard.
Does that mean anything to you guys who know this technology better than me? If I search using terms like that: tip active, 5 volt, sleeve grounded, I just see typical TRS cables. I dont see anything to distinguish between the cables visually or in product descriptions.
P.S. I sent a message to Junior at Jet Pedals for direction.
What’s your MC6 PRO serial number?
In the first batch, the omniports are not able to drive the opto-isolator in some pedals from Jet pedals due to the over-voltage protection circuit in the MC6 PRO but this should have been resolved by the subsequent batches.
I’m not sure where to look for the S/N. It may be under velcro on the bottom of my MC6 Pro. I found device ID in the editor: 5d-5e-b4-ec-0a-3b-09-09 if that helps.
