Hi. I am not able to get my Bloom or Golden Boy to respond to CC messages from MC6 mk2. I have the Jacksons connected via the TRS Omniports. The MC6 sends messages fine to my H9 over the DIN but the Midi messages from the TRS omiports don’t seem to be working. I have checked the TRS cables with a multimeter and they are fine, have also tried changing the controller settings omniport from Ring to Tip and Standard. Is there something else I am missing? The Jacksons are supposed to be set to Ring Active. I have also tried sending messages on all channels
Try the option labeled Midi Out under Omniport assignments. I use an external midi box so I can’t confirm through experimentation, but I know that for Jackson Audio out of the 3 options, Tip Active, Ring Active, Tip & Ring Active, none of those 3 is the correct one. It is just TRS Midi.
Jackson Audio devices are standard TRS MIDI. I’m not sure why they are/were advertising it as ring active (or have they updated it already?).
Jackson Audio website still says Midi via Ring connection. Is it possible these pedals are similar to the Chase Bliss ones in that they need another box in-between to separate the tip from the ring? The MC6 user manual says something about Tip not being able to be disconnected via software.
Yay changed it to Standard and it worked! For the life of me I’m sure I tried all of those options but maybe I had the USB plugged into the editor or didn’t recycle power when testing? Seems to be working fine now with just the TRS cables plugged directly in.
