Is it possible to to update a MC8 via Android devices?

It’s just a quality of life thing, but since Win7 isn’t supported anymore I do not have access to quick fixes during rehearsel or recording sessions. Is it somehow possible to update the firmware via my Android phone?

Unfortunately not. You’ll need a computer to update the MC8.

For the MC6 PRO though, it is possible via the editor.

do you ever plan on making it accessible through android?

For the MC6 Pro it might be possible since you can run the editor under Android. Never used that. Not sure if that would work, but logically it could work. My guess is they won’t make a mobile updater app.

So it won’t work for the mc8? I’m pretty sure I tried this at some point via my galaxy and it didn’t work.

Only the MC6 PRO has this feature (update via the editor without having to use the firmware updater software). We are not able to add this for the MC3/6MKII/8.
