I’ve been experimenting with ChatGPT for writing JSON for my devices (MC8 Pro, ML10X) and it got me wondering if there were any plans in the roadmap for incorporating AI. The editor as it stands is very intuitive, but it would be great if AI tools could be incorporated to reduce redundant steps in device management.
We want hardware and software that work perfectly, not almost perfectly!
What’s the point of AI? To waste our time?

we did experiment it with the beta editor for a while. There was an “Ask AI” text box where you could type like, “i want to scroll through 5 CC messages” and then it’ll generate the preset for you. But it worked too slow! took like a good minute or two to get a response. We don’t think we’ll look into this again for the next 3-6 months

I understand. I do think it’s worth a second look at some point in the future. I’ve had success using ChatGPT to generate backup files, it’s useful for cutting down the repetitive steps when building presets. It would be even better if there was something connected directly to the editor.
