I need setup help/MC6 Pro/ML10X/Widi

I need setup help/advice please.

I’m very very new to the midi controller space, and I got a MC6 Pro and x2 ML10x (one is on order at the moment) to move over to a full midi setup with hopefully bluetooth integration. I want to use CME Widi Jack devices but I’m so confused even though I have read so much. So here I am asking those of you who are in the know!

So my questions are:

  1. How do I connect my MC6 Pro and x2 ML10x via bluetooth Widi? Is it as simple as plug and play with 3 Widi Jacks or is something else needed from CME?
  2. How do I connect this system to my PC via bluetooth? Do I need a Widi Bud Pro or is any wireless Bluetooth dongle fine?
  3. Do all 3 Morningstar devices listed just connect or do they need to be in specific order or mode on the Widi Jacks?
  4. Are there limitations opening them up on the Morningstar editors at the same time or can I have all 3 open?
  5. Do both ML10x open in the editor at the same time?

Currently I believe I need x3 Widi Jacks (one for MC6 Pro and either ML10x) and a Widi Bud Pro on my computer. I could be completely wrong so I figured I would ask the professionals on here for help and guidance.

To be sure, you could ask to CME staff, they are very kind.

I use CME gear.

  • one module is the master of the CME network, connected to the MC6 pro
  • the other ones (4 max) are connected to slave gears (guitar preamp, synth…)

Sorry I don’t use mlx so I can’t tell for them.
