How to send midi from midi keyboard through DAW (Logic Pro) through MC6 Pro to connected synths

Hi there,

I’m wondering if I can bypass my synth usb-midi connections, which can create noise issues, and just use my midi keyboard connected to my DAW to play all my midi instruments through the MC6 Pro. Is anyone able to do this? I use Logic Pro as my DAW.

I’ve been able to synchronise Logic as Midi Host and have all my devices play at the same time, and have midi thru all selected in the ‘USB Device Midi In - Thru To’ in the editor controller settings. I have the MC6 Pro connected to my computer via the usb device port.

Separately, it would also be really neat if I could connect my Jamstik midi guitar to the MC6 Pro, and use that to play synths

I managed to answer my own question here, and the answer is straightforward now I have it - you have to make the morningstar the external instrument and then set the midi out channel to the appropriate channel for your synth.
