How to recall preset and turn off other pedals at the same time?

I am trying to configure a preset where a preset of a pedal is recalled and other pedals are turned off.

Sending cc #0 to the bypass of the pedals I want to turn off doesn’t seem to work. The only way I can make on/off work is by using toggles.

I have tried using Press - engage , release - bypass in one action, or press - bypass, release - bypass, but neither seems to work.

If it helps I’m using a MC6 mkii
And the pedals im trying to turn off are a meris merc7 and an el cap

Any help is much appreciated!

First message: recall preset on that pedal on the MIDI channel that is assigned to it. Next message: send cc# 102 with a value of 0 to the channel that the El Cap is assigned. Third message: send a cc# 14 with a value of 0 to the channel that the Merc 7 is assigned. All three messages can be on the same action , such as “press”.
I looked up the manuals on line to find their MIDI tables. I don’t own these pedals ,therefore my advice is untested.

Thanks mate, I tried this exactly and for some reason it doesn’t turn off the pedals.

Even with the toggles, I have to always toggle it on before i could toggle it off.

Hi,
some Boss pedals show similar behaviour. Try to send both 0 and 127 together.
Also, try to send a 127 followed by 0.
Add a delay between messages.

When using toggles value 127 should be set to pos1 and value 0 should be set to pos2.
It’s a common source of user error. Some people (including myself) find that confusing at first.

Hi, this sounds like it could work I will check this out thanks!
