Hi There, I thought I saw this in a video somewhere but after an hour, I can’t find it again sorry.
I’m trying to create a bank to access Ottobit presets. I’m using toggle states to activate the Ottobit and switch the preset, then toggle on the same switch to bypass the Ottobit.
But if preset 1 is active, and I activate preset 2, the toggle state of preset 1 remains active, so it looks like presets 1 and 2 are active simultaneously when in reality, they’re not.
How do I toggle the active state of switch 1 when preset 2 is pressed?
Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Hmm, I’ve done it like this and while the toggle states of other switches deactivate, pressing the same switch no longer bypasses the Ottobit like it did before?
I’m totally new to controlling pedals in general so not sure of the best way of setting up messages sorry.
Hi. If you want such behavior for your entire bank, you can just enable the ‘Clear Preset Toggles’ setting found under Bank Settings. If you want such a behavior only for certain switches, then the method you have used is correct. EXCEPT, you should not be checking Preset A as well. Because then you are clearing the toggle state for itself too, which would be incorrect.
Ahh OK perfect, that fixes all the toggle issues thank you - untick the current switch from the ‘Set Toggle’ message.
I guess ‘Clear Preset Toggles’ is like a default state that can be overridden per switch when needed - like how it works when it’s off? It’s a permanent change from that point on - yes?
Thanks for your help, very m much appreciated. Have never programmed MIDI pedals before so sorry if this is easy.
No worries, happy to be able to help. Yes, the ‘Clear Preset Toggles’ setting is set per bank and will be permanent for that bank until you change it again.
