How can I get the MC8 to control Ableton whilst Ableton is in the background? Thanks!

I have other midi control devices (like the Yamaha Montage) that can run Ableton in the background.
i need the MC8 to do the same.
Is there any way to make it so?

Hi. You can control Ableton in the background with the MC8. The caveat being that you cannot use Keystroke Commands to control Ableton if the Ableton window is in the background. MIDI messages will work. More information can be found in this video:
