I’ve been setting up my pedals and realized I might run into a problem in the future of running out of midi commands. For instance, a lot of my commnds are taken up by turning off the pedals I am not using (turning off the pedals I do not want on as opposed to the ones I do want on). Is there a way inside of the morningstar editor to consolidate these sorts of commands (maybe similar to the multiple pc messages option inside of the editor)? Like a multiple cc messages option, especially for redundant cc messages used for turning off pedals?
How many CCs are you using?
For your specific example, a great solution that I found floating around here that I’ve since implemented and has saved me so much hassle is to create a dedicated preset (in any bank) that bypasses every pedal in your chain. Then, for every other preset, make your first command a Press>Engage Preset>Pos:Both that engages that “bypass all” preset. For the rest of your commands, you just engage any pedal you want for the preset you’re in (using Pos:1). And you don’t even have to program a Position 2 bypass command because the next preset you use will have the same first command that engages the “bypass all” preset right off the bat.
i have 4 chase bliss pedals, 4 strymon pedals, a voodoo lab hex in which I have 6 analog pedals and a mesa boogie switch track for switching my amps. The chase bliss pedals require two commands for bypass.
It’s been a while since I’ve been doing the programming, but I think that sounds good. I’m assuming that the first action will in essence be consolidated to all of the subsequent ones and I just build from those. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!
That seemed to work, but it screwed up all of my mesa boogie switch track presets to where it won’t respond to it’s preset anymore (it will to other ones), (or it is “misresponding”).
