Boss RV - 500 Effect A on/bypass not fuctioning (cc 28 no. 0-127) while Effect B on/bypass works perfectly well (cc 29 no. 0-127). How do i go about reporting a bug or if anyone here already has a solution to this? any advice is much appreciated.

Hi,
the 500 series has some quirks that might cause the issue.
First make sure that the cc for A on/off is set to 28 (Rc settings).
What footswitch mode is the RC set to? There are some differences in how CCs function depending on the footswitch mode.
To function properly you have to send two CC messages at once to perform a single action ( in normal mode ). It’s always CC# + value 127 and CC# +value 0.

Thnx for the reply. I’m using Simul mode. I’ve been using the rv500 and the dd500 in the simul mode for years and was using the boss es8 as the main switcher until my recent upgrade to the ml10x and the mc6 pro.
CC28 which is for button A is not changed at all and remains. The worst thing abt this is that the mc6 pro can activate it once. And when I manually turn off the rv500, and reengage the preset in MC6pro, the rv500 doesn’t respond.

I remember having similar issues, for me switching the mode from ‘toggle’ to ‘momentary’ (in RV settings) solved it.
