I’m rying to edit ML10x and MC8 Pro at the same time. I’ve never tried editing 2 morningstar devices simultaneously.
When I enter a Bank on the MC8 Pro, it changes names on the ML10x editor. Without saving the preset, I exit. Then load it up again, and the new names from the glitch are still there.
Screenshots attached. I press the Bank called Pump or AFBS (either on my MC8 Pro itself or in the MC8 Pro editor), and then Presets on the ML10x go blank and/or rename to match the name of the Bank on the MC8 Pro that I entered.
The custom names of pedals (Tip / Ring) are also reverting to the default “C Tip” or “B Ring”, they also become blank, and one seems to take on the presets that I press on the MC8 pro like “intro” “freak out” or “BIG”"
I’ve tried using just the local app, using one local and one in the beta-editor, and two beta editors online. When I loaded the local app today to begin editing, it said to update it, so I did.
The MC8 Pro is connected directly to my mac OS 15.4.1 via USB-C.
The ML10x is connected into a hub.
I saw this post but it seems old and is a different issue, but maybe is related: New Editor ML10X & MC6Pro Issue
Thank you!
Edit: I just exited, power cycled the ML10x and it actually reverted back to the original un-glitched save state. But the beta editor is still doing the same renaming bug – even with the MC8 Pro not open in an editor (only the ML10x is being edited).
I then tried the non-beta editor and it isn’t changing the names of presets while the only editor is ML10x – but the glitch came back as soon as I opened the editor app (non-web version).
I do use my MC8 Pro to control ableton via usb-C so I still have the MC8 plugged into my mac. that Usb-c cable also powers my MC8.
